Physics

OKSEF | Physics

Physics, in the simplest form, is a natural science that understands nature, learn the cause-effects and combines them with mathematical methods. In fact, Physics means ‘Nature’ in Greek. It analyses the logical questions mathematically by examining the interaction between energy and matter. Everything from nano-scaled materials to galaxies in the solar system is the main topic of the Physics. As in all natural science, physics is based on experimentation and observation. Physics is helping to develop other natural sciences (Chemistry, Biology, Geology…) and collaborating with them on many issues. The main sub-branches of Physics are Mechanics, Optics, Electricity, Magnetism, Thermodynamics, Nuclear Physics, and Solid State Physics and can be used in many applications in daily life. There are many studies that we can use in everyday life such as development of imaging methods of cancerous cells with the application of quantum dots and development of technology that allows the use of smart phones to perform medical tests.
